Are you registered to vote in the 2026 general election? There’s an easy way to find out for residents in Jefferson County, NY, no matter what party you belong to.
The Jefferson County Board of Elections provides a handy Voter Lookup website. Add your address and date of birth, and the website will search the Board of Elections’ database to find your voter registration records and let you know exactly where you stand.
If it finds you in the records, the website can provide you with your: voting status, party affiliation, and the location of your polling place (full address, Google Map, and a photo, if available), so you’ll know exactly where to go on Election Day (Nov 3, 2026).
If you keep scrolling down the page, the website can also tell you some additional useful info, including your:
- Town Name
- Ward Number
- Municipal District Number
- County Legislative District
- NYS Assembly District
- NYS Senate District
- Congressional District
These are all important bits of information, because they tell you which election races you’ll be able to vote on in November. (And which ones to pay attention to now, so you’ll get to know the candidates and can decide who you’d like to support.)
If you search for yourself on the county’s website and the message “No Record Found” pops up, you need to register to vote. To do so, please visit the Jefferson County Board of Elections Register to Vote page. It has a full list of all the requirements to register and gives you details on the different ways you can register (online, in-person, and by mail).
